Abstract

The development of technology can facilitate human work, one of which is education. One of the uses of technology in education is computerization of the presence system. one of the technologies that can be implemented in the system is the Internet of Things. Internet of Things is a concept where physical objects can communicate through a protocol, such as Bluetooth Low Energy. Bluetooth Low Energy is the latest protocol from Bluetooth and is part of a protocol larger than Bluetooth 4.0. Bluetooth Low Energy has advantages over other protocols such as low power, wide range of connectivity and fast data transmission. Therefore, researchers try to implement this technology in real life, namely making a presence system. The sensor will detect students who are in class through an application installed on the smartphone and each student sends data to the server as their attendance data.
