Abstract
Node.js is a JavaScript runtime built on Chrome’s V8 JavaScript engine. Node.js uses an event-driven, non-blocking I/O model that makes it lightweight and efficient. Node.js package ecosystem, npm, is the largest ecosystem of open source libraries in the world. What makes node.js superior to php one of them is the non-blocking I/O model implemented by node.js, this means the user request can be asynchronous, which means that everything associated with I/O will not hinder the running of the system because all I/O request such as requesting data from the server will be answered to the callback queue that will run in sequence after all the systems are done running. This will speed up the whole system. In this thesis the author will try to analyze the main problems that exist and try to fix the problems faced by previous system users by changing the system programming language to Node.js and adding Socket.Io to the system The resulting application will be in the form of web-based which will only be used by the admin and employees of RonaleeResto which aims to fix deficiencies that exist in the previous system. So as to be able to record orders more accurately and without the risk of losing data.
