Berangkat dari realitas tersebut, penelitian ini menganalisis representasi krisis identitas dalam lirik lagu “Arteri” karya grup musik .Feast. Menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan analisis semiotika Ferdinand de Saussure, penelitian ini membedah struktur tanda melalui kacamata teori representasi Stuart Hall dan teori psikososial Erik Erikson. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lirik lagu ini mengonstruksi narasi kegagalan transisi menuju kedewasaan yang berujung pada keterasingan. Temuan mengungkapkan manifestasi kebingungan peran berupa ketidakmampuan menentukan masa depan, keterasingan sosial, pemberontakan terhadap nilai kemapanan, serta pencarian identitas negatif.
