      "abstract": "Penelitian ini menganalisis karakter Hideko dalam film The Handmaiden \r\nsebagai representasi perempuan yang menjadi produk dari sistem patriarki. Melalui\r\npendekatan psikologi media dan teori male gaze Laura Mulvey, ditemukan bahwa\r\nHideko mengalami eksploitasi seksual dan kontrol psikologis yang mendalam sejak\r\nkecil. Film ini memperlihatkan bagaimana tubuh dan pikiran perempuan direduksi\r\nmenjadi objek, namun juga menyuguhkan ruang resistensi dan agensi melalui\r\ntransformasi karakter Hideko.
