Penelitian ini mengkaji eksplorasi visual storytelling\r\nsebagai strategi naratif dalam pembuatan film dokumenter \"Rumah Kedua,\" yang\r\nmengangkat kehidupan lansia di panti jompo sebagai “Rumah Kedua.” Penulis\r\nbertujuan mengidentifikasi penerapan elemen visual seperti komposisi gambar,\r\npencahayaan, sudut kamera, dan teknik editing untuk membangun narasi yang\r\nmenggugah emosi serta memberikan wawasan mendalam terkait tema kesepian,\r\nkenangan, dan harapan. Data dikumpulkan melalui analisis isi film, refleksi\r\nsutradara, dan tinjauan teori storytelling visual dari para ahli seperti David Bordwell\r\ndan Kristin Thompson. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa visual storytelling dalam\r\n\"Rumah Kedua\" meningkatkan autentisitas dokumenter dan memfasilitasi\r\nketerhubungan emosional antara penonton dengan subjek, sekaligus menampilkan\r\npanti jompo sebagai ruang transisi antara masa lalu dan masa depan lansia.\r\nKesimpulan penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa strategi visual ini memperkaya\r\nefektivitas naratif dokumenter serta berkontribusi pada praktik sinematografi dan\r\ndiskursus sosial mengenai penuaan. Penelitian ini diharapkan menjadi referensi\r\nbagi sutradara dalam memanfaatkan elemen visual untuk mengisahkan kisah\r\nmanusia secara lebih bermakna."^^xsd:string;
