	bibo:abstract "Penelitian berjudul “Penerapan Teknik Editing sebagai Sarana Penyampaian\r\nEmpati dalam Film Dokumenter Langkah yang Bicara” membahas bagaimana\r\npilihan-pilihan penyuntingan membantu menerjemahkan pengalaman subjek\r\nmenjadi pengalaman menonton yang mendorong tumbuhnya empati. Penelitian ini\r\nmenggunakan pendekatan penelitian berbasis praktik dalam penciptaan karya film\r\ndokumenter, dengan menitikberatkan analisis pada strategi penyuntingan yang\r\nditerapkan di dalam film. Kajian difokuskan pada penggunaan b-roll, teknik J-cut\r\ndan L-cut, serta transisi ambience dan kaitannya dengan pembentukan empati\r\npenonton. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa b-roll berperan memperjelas\r\nkonteks peristiwa dan memperkuat keterlibatan penonton; J-cut dan L-cut menjaga\r\nkesinambungan informasi dan emosi melalui perpindahan audio-visual yang lebih\r\nhalus; sedangkan transisi fade berfungsi sebagai penanda perpindahan bagian cerita\r\nyang memberi ruang jeda reflektif sekaligus menjaga ritme penceritaan.
