Abstract

Sleman Regency is one of the regencies located in the Province of the Special Region of Yogyakarta. There are many areas in this district that have the potential to develop in the agricultural and tourism sectors. In this research, the author took the area of Brayut Hamlet, Pandowoharjo Village, Sleman District. Conditions in the village area are still mostly dominated by agriculture and there are also tourist villages that have been formed. This condition makes Sleman Regency, especially in Pandowoharjo Village itself, need to pay attention to aspects that support the process of developing existing tourist villages. With this, this study aims to determine "Development of Agricultural and Cultural Tourism Villages in Brayut Hamlet". The analytical method used is descriptive qualitative. The data collection method used in this study was non-participant observation, the researchers conducted site visits, interviews with tourism actors, community leaders and government officials. The objectives to be achieved from the research I conducted were as follows: to find out whether Brayut Hamlet in Pandowoharjo Village can become an agricultural and cultural-based tourism village based on existing aspects. The results of this study show that the natural conditions in Brayut Tourism Village are quite good, with nature that is still kept clean, and the local wisdom of the people that still feels very strong. The involvement of the local government also helps support the development of tourism villages. Accessibility in the Brayut Tourism Village is also good with adequate road access, waste management is well managed, and the availability of transportation can also be found easily, then there are road signs to the existing Brayut Tourism Village. The existing amenities in Brayut to support the tourism village can be said to be sufficient. The culture in Brayut Tourism Village is also well maintained
